Max Stopyra

About

I am a composer, producer, and sonic arts creator with a technical foundation in electrical and computer engineering. I recently graduated from Olin College of Engineering (Class of 2024) and have continued expanding my work across audio, machine learning, and advanced hardware systems.

My creative practice blends modular synthesis, electronic composition, digital instrument design, and experimental sound work with engineering experience spanning machine learning, embedded systems, GaN power electronics, VLSI, and quantum-scale computing. I currently develop computer vision and multimodal AI systems as a Machine Learning Engineer at Integrated Solutions International while producing original music and leading creative direction at Broken Gourd Records.

I am deeply interested in the intersections of technology and sound, exploring how custom tools, modern DSP, and emerging AI models can shape new musical and artistic possibilities. Outside of the studio I am an outdoorsman, improviser, and DIY enthusiast.

This website showcases a portfolio of my engineering projects, sonic works, and ongoing explorations across composition, electronics, and creative technology. It also includes ways to get in touch and collaborate.
